Manager – Field Quality Lead

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Prepare a Field Inspection plan based on the planting list from the Field Production team.
  • Field visits during critical stages of production to ascertain fields are maintained as per the SOP's.
  • Document the condition of each field with respect to the quality parameters at critical stages.
  • Confirm the parental profiles in each field and report.
  • Rate the fields based on field observations in Green and Red flags.
  • Document the crop condition on disease and insect pressure.
  • Coordinate with the production team to decide the harvesting time.
  • Submit the report on each field to Quality Head
  • Visit GOT fields if required during each lot’s quality assurance process.
  • Attend complaints related to genetic purity, if any
  • Prepare and submit OPEX Budget in advance
  • Coordinate with Breeders for DUS characters of new hybrids
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the management
  • Conduct GOT of parents’ seed of Field crops
  • Involvement in GOT evaluation of Vegetables’ parents’ seed production.


Pan India field quality in charge. Responsible for quality seed arrival from production fields, mainly for field crops and OP vegetables. Assess the field quality ratings by visiting production fields at critical stages of production, to recommend lots for early release or Grow out Test.

Job Location : Bangalore

Experience : Minimum 10 Years of Relevant Experience in Field Quality, Seed Production, or, related fields.

Qualification : Minimum Graduation in Agriculture / Horticulture

Job Description:

  • Understanding the requirements of the market and based on the market study designing and implement business strategies.
  • Conduct the competitor analysis and based on the understanding of the market dynamics devise a strategy to tap the market.
  • Design and execute the trial plan as per the requirements of the region.
  • Collect trial data for evaluation and report to the crop teams.
  • Liasoning with the government body.
  • Coordinating with state and central universities and other organizations, understanding the requirement of the licensing, organizing the trials for variety registration, and managing the licensing of the product for your region.
  • Support customers with technical support.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, Supply Chain, R&D, Bio-Tech etc.
  • Gather the knowledge of the distributors in the country and handle them critically and develop a business plan for the local market.

  • Elaborate and execute the business strategy in consultation with Portfolio lead.
